Dr. Jeffrey Dysart, M.D., Family Medicine
Senior AME, Federal Aviation Administration, Civil Surgeon, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and Certified Medical Examiner, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Dr. Dysart graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1978. His internship and residency were completed at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center, Lancaster, California, in Family Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Dysart has been providing care to patients from infants to seniors for over 20 years. Dr. Dysart joined Genesee Medical Group in September of 2008 after owning a successful solo practice in San Diego for several years. Dr. Dysart proudly serves the members of Sharp Community Medical Group. He is on staff at Sharp Memorial Hospital, San Diego.

Dr. Tam Tran, M.D., Family Medicine
Senior AME, Federal Aviation Administration
Dr.Tam Tran is a board-certified Family Medicine physician serving the San Diego community. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with a focus on prevention, chronic disease management, and whole-person wellness. Dr. Tran values building long-term relationships with her patients and partnering with them to achieve sustainable health goals.
Dr. Tran graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, earning both her Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Business Administration in Health Sector Management. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Heritage Valley Health Systems in Pennsylvania, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive primary care.
In addition to her primary care practice, Dr. Tran is a Senior Human Intervention Motivation Study (HIMS) Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). She performs FAA medical certification exams for pilots, including specialized evaluations through the HIMS program. With a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical standards, she provides thorough, efficient evaluations while guiding aviators through the certification process with clarity and professionalism.
Dr. Tran is proud to serve the diverse San Diego community she calls home. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring San Diego’s beaches, parks, and neighborhoods with her husband, daughter, and their dog.

Dr. Jaafar Al-Dahwi, M.D., Board-Certified Internal Medicine
Dr. Jaafar Al-Dahwi is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for adults. He completed his medical education in Egypt and his Internal Medicine residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, where he gained extensive experience managing a wide range of medical conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Prior to joining Genesee Medical Group, Dr. Al-Dahwi practiced in Fresno, California, serving as an Internist with the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, where he cared for veterans with complex medical needs. During that time, he also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), contributing to the training and mentorship of medical students and residents.
Dr. Al-Dahwi provides comprehensive primary care for adults ages 18 and older, with a focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and the care of older adults and the geriatric population. He has extensive experience managing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and high cholesterol, and is known for his thoughtful approach, thorough evaluations, and clear communication. Fluent in English and Arabic, he emphasizes strong physician–patient relationships and individualized, evidence-based care.
Dr. Al-Dahwi is on staff at Sharp Memorial Hospital and proudly serves the San Diego community at Genesee Medical Group.

Shannon Davis, FNP
Shannon Davis, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, joined our office in May, 2013. Shannon is a highly experienced Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master of Science degree from the University of San Diego. She has experience in primary care as well as emergency medicine and pre-anesthesia. Shannon currently serves as President of the San Diego chapter of the California Nurse Practitioner’s Association, collaborating to improve healthcare access in our country. Shannon sees patients of all ages.

Lyndsey Brown, FNP
Lyndsey Brown, Family Nurse Practitioner, joined Genesee Medical Group in August 2023. As a born and raised San Diegan, she has been caring for the local community for the past 14 years. She graduated from Azusa Pacific with her BSN in 2010, and spent the next 13 years working in the Adult Intensive Care Unit as a registered nurse and charge nurse. In 2022 she graduated from Simmons University with her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree. With her critical care background, Lyndsey found a love for primary care and preventative health to keep her patients healthy and thriving.
